Alternate/Personal Ending: Mass Effect 3

The Child reveals itself to be the creator of the Reapers. The child states the Reapers solve the solution to chaos but because you have made it this far in the construction of the Crucible and attached it to the Citadel, the creator gives you some respect and gives you a choice to decide. You choose whether to end all synthetic life thus killing apart of yourself as well as the geth and EDI but ultimately ending the Reapers, Synching your mind with the Reapers ultimately controlling them and ending the war on the organics ultimately ending your life, or sacrifice your being to fuse all organic and sy

Why I Hold the LineMy little disclaimer for this horrendous TL;DR is as follows, and you can bet I'm going to employ my own stereotypes with a little humorous intent. I'm a girl gamer, (like everyone else here) a huge Mass Effect fan, an avid reader, a writer, a watcher of far too much TV and too many movies, and an English Literature grad student. Ergo, I write words. Lots of them. It's practically my job.

I'll probably bump this just a couple times, because I'd love for someone to read it.

So I just finished Mass Effect 3. :iconimhappyplz: Basically, it was one hell of an emotional roller coaster. The final arc of an amazing game trilogy. The end of the Reaper's harvest cycle. The end of Shepard's story. Possibly, even the end of Shepard him/herself. But it just leaves so many questions unanswered...

Part of the sacrifice of using the Crucible to stop the Reapers involved the destruction of all the mass relays. Unfortunately this makes new problems:
All the fleets you gathered to fight the Reapers are now effectively stranded in the Sol System. There is no way Earth can feed the galactic armada, considering how beat up it is right now. Also, the other races are left completely helpless, no supply lines, no reinforcements, their fleets trapped over Earth with no way of getting back within the next century. Unless they make mass

"All ships, this is Admiral Hackett, target the nearest Reaper and hit it with everything we got!" said Hackett over the fleet comm.

A dream of an endNow I know many many many fans have written their own perfect ending to ME3, but allow me to write a quick overview of an ending with multiple options for the choices you made. I hope to present a reasonable and logical ending to one of my favorite sci-fi series ever.
*SPOILER*
Nothing changes up to the exact moment when Hacket informs Shepard that the crucible is not firing.
Shepard is then offered both a paragon and renegade trigger option, paragon being disable reapers renegade being transfer control to the citadel console. There is no god child ultimatum.
Shepard will lunge and hit the decided button and collapse to the floor. Shepard will then receive a call from Hacket informing Shepard that the crucible worked. If Shepard's war assets were at a certain level the player will receive one of three endings.
Outcome 1)
If assets are very low and readiness is 60 percent or lower Shepard will exclaim it's finally over and a montage of all of the player's key decisions will play highlig

A fix-fic based on my take of the Reapers motivations and the ending:

I pressed the button on the console, but nothing happened. Hackett screamed in my ear. I had nothing for him except painful grunts. The universe turned black.

I would take the scene where Shepard survives the "Destroy" ending and takes a breath and then have a Geth trooper pull him or her out from the rubble of London, which he/she never left after getting shot by Harbinger. Then Shepard is like "didnt I destroy the Reapers and all synthetics?" Then the Geth is like "What are you talking about? You got us and the Quarians working together!" Then Aria walks over and bitchslaps Shepard to wake him/her up more then you get into the Mako (while she drives) and have a final fight with Harbinger while the second wave of infantry made up of Krogan, Geth, Turian, and Asari backing up mercs and Alliance sol

This is how I imagine my Mass Effect 3 playthrough ends when I finish speaking with Catalyst and I press Alt-F4
